FIFI ,Barbie and wild weasels

Post by strayer »

Season kicked of for me at Tittusville Florida with the TICO warbirds airshow.

Lovely weather and some interesting aircraft.

There's an olive one as well on the circuit.

Love the fin art on the Shaw F-16  Great selection

Fabulous selection of aeroplanes I take it the '16 is the demo bird? That Mitchell looks so right, great to see some real world warbirds in the U.S. rather than highly polished show pieces.

Outstanding shots. I saw an olive Mohawk when I was at Chino's Planes of Fame back in 2014, unfortunately it didn't fly in the display :-(

Very nice catch, was there all three days,

Unfortunately, that Weasel tail looks to be only for that show this year, she is another squadron's bird and the crew were only able to bring it to Titusville, next show is in melbourne (I will be attending that one too), where they will be back to standard tails, commonly known as the witch

Of note, that Barbie III is the only flying B-25h around, and she was a late arrival on the Friday to join the show.

On the Saturday, there was a jet truck which ran and subsequently did this:

Very nice shots of very nice subjects Strayer.

Titusville is a great place on any day, I'd love to do the show there some time.

Love the Skyblazers F-86. I've vague childhood memories of seeing them at Biggin Hill B of B shows when they flew F-100's. They would always arrive from the back of the crowd for the most effect!

I've seen Panchito few times. So she's based at Titusville?

Lovely to see something different, and well captured to boot.
Thanks for sharing, Jay.

Very nice indeed. The static Phantom is great - epic skyscape.

Wonderful stuff thanks for sharing

Really like the static shots, all those people who complain about shooting into the sun eh? :worship:
