Jurassic Heath April/May 16

Post by JonoUK »

Hi All,

March may had been mad but April was out right mental at RAF Lakenheath with the surprise arrival of 12 F-22A Raptors. In combination with the presidential movements at Mildenhall it made for one of my favourite months in this hobby. Good to catch up with all of the familiar faces and new that I met during these weeks. I tried to cover as many of the angles as I could with the raptors, here's what I caught along with some other movements.

Really great stuff! That head on Raptor and the cockpit/afterburner take-off shots my favourites.

Exceptional photo set!

A side note: I can't help noticing how beautiful the Strike Eagle looks compared to the Raptor... I thing we are witnessing the transition from beautifully looking aircraft to the LO technological demands of 5th gen aircraft...
