Very nice shot, well done.

I new some one would get a great shot of this - I was further down to the right and I saw it but had a few heads and a speaker pole in the way so couldn't get a shot of it, but it did look great, plenty of fuel from both side :)

Ace.

Having tried to get a flaming start up pic so many times, and never been lucky, I know you must feel like you've hit the jackpot. Great shot

I'm glad to see that this can still happen, the best I have managed so far was a little puff of smoke.

Thanks for all the comments.

It's up over 10,000 views on Flickr now, and made it to the "explore" section yesterday. Crazy what a bit of fire will do for the perception of a photograph - it's an angle I always like on a warbird but I've never caught one like this before.

LN Strike Eagle, if I fully and comprehensively credited you for the photo would you mind if I put it on my Facebook page?? I have several friends who I know would love to see it, its a truly outstanding shot, but I would only do that with your permission. If you agree, perhaps you could let me know if you would like me to put anything specific to credit you with, I am happy to put whatever you would like me to!

many thanks
