Is this only happening on the Friday? taking the kids down on Saturday would have been a good way to end the day, plus Fridays weather is looking a tad ominous at the moment.

Hope this is of some help!

Does this east move mean that the above is no longer a good spot?

Nope should still be fine. The east overcliff goes quite a way along so if you just head east a bit past the new commentary position your still get a great view. Basically, just follow the road down East a little bit.

Have never done Bournemouth since they stopped having the show at Hurn so haven't a clue as to what is where on the seafront. Any chance you could provide a map reference or some other indication where a good position on the east cliff would be please?

Don't have a clue how to get the image to show but hopefully the link is of some help. Should show roughly where you might want to go on the Overcliff.

Thanks for the link but I get a "don't have permission" error message. Would you suggest to the east or west of the Cliff Lift?

BBMF just arrived at Bournemouth airport, gave a nice fly past with the fighters breaking off before landing. Lanc did a missed approach/touch and go, couldn't exactly see it as the flying club cafe is closed and the area blocked off.

Looks like the BBMF are displaying twice tomorrow, at 11:00 and 14:00? Seems a little weird considering the rest of the flying is only from 2pm-3:45pm

Interesting, probably a practice with the Lanc aswell since the datum has moved and she hasn't been here since 2014. There is due to be a flypast of some sort at 10:00 tomorrow along the beach but the Bournemouth Air Festival team haven't said what it is

Not sure if doing Saturday or Sunday now seeing as there weather doesn't look good at moment  I see there Two Royal Navy Hawks taking part in the beach assault as well as a Merlin & Wildcat and also the reason the Sea Vixen is not displaying is because Simon Hargreaves daughter is getting married on Saturday.

Yep and even if it was fixed it wouldn't fly at Bournemouth because pilot daughter is getting married.

Bloody disgraceful, I don't know why the police don't have more powers when it comes to this, although most seem to frightened to get involved with travellers.

The BBMF flypast was also for Jon Egging as his mother will be at the opening of the airshow and discussing plans to move the memorial sculpture due to it's precarious position on a section of recently collapsed cliff top.

Perhaps the beach assault could be directed at taking out these parasites.

It's the same every summer down here.... always the same spots as well.... you think the council would be able to block them off properly.....
