RIP Joe Sutter - show your 747s!
RIP Joe Sutter - show your 747s!
Woke up this morning to the sad loss of Joe Sutter, "father of the 747", aged 95.
If anyone hasn't read his book on the 747, amongst other things, I strongly recommend it! https://www.amazon.co.uk/747-Creating-W ... 0060882425
So now, let's see your 747s...

Where it all began - the prototype, N7470, now housed at the Museum of Flight near Seattle.

Here are the ones I could dig up, either taken a number of years ago on an cheap bridge camera or more recently on my phone.
First 3 from LGW
Next 2 aren't exactly the best quality, but something a little different.
