Cheers Rich,

VFA-122 had about 8 Super Hornets on deployment. There were also around 8 T-45C from NAS Meridian on deployment.

Waiting to go on base in the morning watched a couple of C-2 and an E-2 bash the circuit. Some Harriers showed up for a fuel stop.

While waiting to get bussed out to the runway, 3 ship of Hercs did a low approach.

While at the runway got the USMC Hornet circuit bashing. He then fuel stopped before flying more circuits.

Also got a mix of Super Hornets and T-45C going out and coming back from training sorties. Last 3 T-45C spent around 30mins circuit bashing.

Good experience to finally make it onto one of their photo calls.

More pix to be added later in the week.

Mark

First one was at just over 100mm, second at 420mm (300 + 1.4 extender).
As for closeness, maybe about 30ft from runways edge.

That opening shot is rather nice! I almost made it to El Centro but instead gambled on the Canyon for two days which paid off.
