Cant view 7d mk 2 raw files in Windows 10

Strange one this i had no issues with my previous camera, when quickly viewing raw files in the pictures file, i would normally get the image picture as the thumbnail. However with the 7D Mk2 all i get now is a generic file. When i click on it and try to open it with the Windows picture gallery it wont open.

Have you used the Canon software to down load?
