Last week i got a chance to visit this downed bird in Iceland.
It's been photographed so often its no longer new or can be considered fresh as angles, auroras etc have been done and dusted with this aircraft for a long time now. However, as the Muppet American tourists (who at the time were American and were what i saw and experienced) start to climb over it, tear bits off etc and give really nasty abuse to photographers (and i mean nasty), this aircraft wreck is starting to deteriorate quite quickly.
I suppose the only plus point is its such a walk from the car park that it might put all but the hardiest people off going and taking the pilgrimage.
Anyway, enjoy the old bird, i dont think she's long for this world unfortunately.
Cheers
Dave
