Kansas Aviation Museum

Post by Alexe »

An interesting museum in Wichita housed in the old airport terminal and focused on the local aviation heritage, with Wichita being a hub of aviation including the birthplace of Cessna, Stearman and Beechcraft among others.

The old control tower provides a great vantage point for anything operating from McConnell AFB, speakers with the live ATC really add something.
Nothing too exciting the afternoon I was there:

Also on view is the old Stearman aircraft hangar
