Well, I've taken the plunge and got one, coupled with the Nikon 200-500mm f5.6. The Tamron 150-600 went in PX.

Much much ouchio cashio, but it should last me a long time (I hope)

Its a great combo - had them since last year, although the images are only as good as the person with their finger on the trigger :grin:

Just waiting for some decent weather now. Was hoping to go to the Old Sarum fly-in last Sunday, but it was hopeless.

Used mine for the first time on Saturday at Feltham Park. Boy, what a camera! :smile: However, there was a quite aggressive person there that made me feel a bit uncomfortable. He kept asking me 'why are you taking photos of aircraft, they are only aircraft!'.
