Post your A26s
A bit more demanding than the usual post your... threads. One of my favourite aircraft is the Douglas A26 Invaders and doing some slide copying I pulled out these three rather grainy shots. If you have other examples, I'd love to see them.
Number one here is North Weald, I think, sometime in the early 80s. the other two are Oakland CA in 1984, I'm afraid I don't have the IDs but the second one appears to have been an exec conversion, maybe an On Mark Marksman. I remember that in the 60s N190Y was an On Mark Marksman that visied LHR, an early biz 'jet'

A nice war bird at Dekelia-Tatoi, Greece on 6 November 2016.
A-26B N500MR is owned by the Greek shipping magnate Minos Kirakou. This Invader was built in 1945 as 44-34769, but never saw combat action and was put up for disposal directly after delivery. It had more than 10 different civil owners before is was flown to Greece in 1995. Somewhere during it's history it received a passenger configuration with windows on the starboard side.

That's a beauty, passengers, now that would be a good way to spend my money

Someone please enlighten me. What is that huge, agricultural-looking red lever in the cockpit of Sugarland Express, next to the throttle quadrant?

Do you remember, by any chance, if this was August 1989, at the Air Britain fly-in? If so, I was in the back of the A-26. I remember the crew popping the clamshell canopy open and donning Viking helmets as we taxied in on arrival from Duxford. Lars Ness and Anders Saether were piloting IIRC.
Re: Post your A26s
There's something so nice about this aircraft. Lovely shots!
