But if we wasn't to get it this year is it likely we'll never have the days of old again? Was just curious. Didn't know where to post or ask

Looked like one last year at Ostrava.

That would have been a company test pilot using a German AF aircraft.
Last year they had a demo flown by a Luftwaffe pilot allowed due to their 60th anniversary. At least I saw it at ILA, somehow I have a vague memory that the aircraft was on static at Fairford.RIAT Air Ops wrote:john001 wrote:Pringles wrote: - the Germans don't do flying displays.

BAE only work up a display for joint Farnborough years (ie last year and 2014) so won't display one this year.

BAE Systems displayed their Typhoon at RIAT in 2011.

Last time I checked, Austria hasn't been a part of Germany since the '50s

And yes, Spotty_Jag, I'm well aware that the RAF didnt put on a Typhoon display that year (though I don't know whether that was the reason BAE worked one up or not - I seem to recall a lot of talk about the Indian MMRCA competition, and that France was attending with a Rafale...)

Last year the RJF were confirmed at April 28, so we haven't reached the date of DBH confirming them last year. The Hercules though was confirmed at March 31, so that one is late this year. Heavies confirmed by this time last year: Jordanian Herc, German Orion. Transall, A400 and Dutch transports that were cancelled later on. Stuation this year: Belgian Herc, German Orion and Transall As things stand, that is just one less (although I realise it is unfair to not count announcements that cancelled as we don't know if all of this year announcements will actually be there).edhunter wrote:I'm getting a little concerned about the lack of heavy aircraft thus far confirmed for the static park, apart from the p-3 & c-130 there is a lack of heavies and I think if my memory serves me right there were a few more this time last year.
