Not at all...advance tickets can still be ordered here;-
https://www.fatsoma.com/AbingdonAirCoun ... -show-2017
or if you live locally we have several over-the-counter outlets in southern and western Oxfordshire
Well I just ordered using that link and got my ticket. Note there is a £1.20 transaction fee.
TBH I was seriously thinking of not going this year, especially when the Sea Vixen cancelled. I only made my mind up this afternoon, deciding to make it ten shows in a row and also see what its like from the opposite side of the field.
Hope the queue to enter isn't huge for advance ticket holders. I'm finding that entry to events in general in recent years can be quicker if pay on the day. I've always paid on the day here in the past and usually entry has been quite quick.

Certainly do like the surprise
When is she due in, if not already in ?
It arrive around 14.30 and did several circuits and a high PFL before landing .. plus the 2 RAF Tucano, Ryan , Yak3 and RAF Tutor which is hangared.
Would be rude not to include it in the Nightshoot.

Weren't jets banned from landing here a few years ago (runway unsuitable or some such reason - probably discussed on this forum at the time and I haven't searched) ? I hadn't realised they were now allowed and hadn't twigged from the list of aircraft due to appear.
What time did the Tutor arrive please ?

With the website currently unavailable, anyone happen to know the start time for the air display?

It was a paper exercise by the previous DE personage to limit types using the airfield, however when a C17 / C130 uses the main runway just 2 months ago, which I might add is inspected yearly by the RAF,there's no arguement and the licence altered to cater for jets again, albeit I will limit to certain categorys.

Thanks. I was told yesterday by a local that a C17 recently did full landings or touch and go's in the dark with no lights. Don't know how accurate the info is though.

I was just thinking (and hoping) the same thing !
Re: Abingdon Air & Country Show 2017
Just had an incident where one of the twisters (mini spitfire thing) lost power possibly at the top of a wing over and hit the ground. Landed on his belly, no flames and aircraft looks as though it's in one piece. Hopefully pilot is ok but was a nasty belly flop type forced landing.
Re: Abingdon Air & Country Show 2017
Sounded very much like a spluttering engine when it came past then sounded like it completely cut out. Very well brought down by the pilot!!!

Wonder who'll be the first to sell their photos to the Daily Mail for tomorrow's sensationalised "The Shocking Moment A..." scare story?

One of the Great Warbirds has just put down on the grass shortly afterwards too... according to a colleague who eyewitnessed both incidents there. Thankfully all involved crew are safe according to reports.

Anyone know if the Mustang is leaving today? Just read that he landed back after his display.

Doesn't mean it isn't a comment worth mentioning. Speculating on the sensationalism that will probably be in the newspapers with two incidents at one event, doesn't take away from thoughts and feelings from those affected.
