First Air Show

Post by AdamF1 »

I am taking my son to our first Air show at Duxford on Sunday. I was just looking for some advice on what lenses to take? Is at 70-210 too short

Thanks

Hi Adam,

I'd suggest too short for capturing the aircraft doing their thing in the air so to speak, these days the longer the focal length the better, but not a bad choice for shooting the aircraft as they taxi to and from the runway which can be an equally rewarding option.

Hope this helps?!

Cheers

I use a Tamron 18-200mm at Duxford. Fine for landings/take offs but not long enough for display flying.
