Tamiya F-15C Eagle - 493rd - Lakenheath

Post by Jamesv9820 »

Been a long while since I have posted anywhere other than Facebook (for various reasons). Been working on this one for a short while now and is completed with an Aires Cockpit (with true details resin seat - I never get on with photo etch belts), Astra Decal sheet, Aim-9X's robbed from the Academy F-16I Sufa kit. Paints from MRP (Superb!) and Gunze Aquarius.Really happy with the weathering on this one, applying this to a matt coat and using Mig-Ammo panel line wash, blended in with white spirit certainly did the trick.

Photos were difficult to take; I think the sheer size of the eagle is difficult to represent, however you will see a few photos below showing the overlap of the white paper background. Saying that I do need to revisit the photos and sort out some silvering on some of the decals.

Anyways, enjoy!

Yep as I've said that's a beauty! The exhaust finish particularly!
