Ooops !

Post by Brevet Cable »

The good news is that today I found a 32GB SDHC card which I thought I'd lost, which is pretty much full of photos from last year's RIAT.
The bad news ? It's extremely dead.
How dead ? The casing has broken off it, the card itself appears to have snapped just above the contacts, and the memory chip is no longer attached.....so well and truly dead.

Other than "bin it", anyone have any suggestions ( which don't involve spending lots of money ) ?

How about contacting the manufacturer and see if they can help?

It's a Qumox ( cost all of £16 for two )....company is based in Hong Kong & has no UK presence.

Never heard of them. If they have an e-mail address the might be worth contacting anyway. You never know.

They're one of your typical Chinese companies who do memory cards, computer memory & 'action cameras' ( the cameras are also sold under the brand-name of SJCAM )
