Apologies for posting on this thread but thought this is where it would get the most traction.

If anyone is selling a FRIAT pass or knows someone who is/may be then could you please send them my way via PM? Would be very much appreciated

Not sure if this is the right thread to post in but it does involve seats. I was thinking of bringing my own seat but a friend said that there are already seats there, I knew there are areas with seating but you have to pay extra for them, the way my friend described it is that there are free seats but I don't think this is right

Jay, your friend is wrong.

The seats on the ground at the front within FRIAT are "Row X" and designated to FRIAT members that ask to be outside the grandstand and/or disabled.

There is space for people that bring their own seat if you wish to but get there early as the guys with tripods and fumble mounts fill the space very quickly.

Thanks

Andy

Ps if you mean in the public areas outside of enclosures you will need your own seat, there are none.

Cheers for confirming that, I am registered disabled so maybe i can use one of the seats or do I have to be a FRIAT member?

The friend is adamant that when he went last year there was loads of white chairs at crowd centre, I asked him if he used one of the chairs and he said yes.

I don't think he was, well if he was he shouldn't have been! he just said it was at crowd centre, I will take my own chair as I need to make sure i can have something to sit on which has some back support. Its handy as we well as it has a fold out table i can put my camera on! which will save my arms as I found out at Cosford holding a camera with 150-600mm lens on can get a bit tiring after a few hours!
