EAA Airventure Oshkosh July 26

Post by sovietjet »

I was only able to attend the Wednesday of Airventure this year. The day show was OK, but the twilight show is what I really went for. I already posted the B-1B during the twilight show here:

But before his display, a total of 11 B-25s went up for a Doolittle Raid reenactment. It was an awesome sight and sound, especially seeing the flames coming out of the exhaust pipes on takeoff. The day show included some arrivals including the Blue Angels, a few warbirds, a Heritage flight with an F-35 and A-10, as well as a separate A-10 display by the 122FW from Fort Wayne.

A nice range of aircraft and all are excellent images. On the two occasions that I have attended Osh, there have never been any Cobras in attendance. To see three at one show must have been a treat! Likewise the -25s. The usual attendees were Georgie's Gal, Panchito, Devil Dog & Gen. The numbers that you quote would also have been great to see. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

George

Great images from what looked to be an amazing show. My favourite has to be the Thunderbolt, Lightning II, Mustang formation. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot's! Seem to have been more B-25's then usual this year? I've seen Devil Dog, George's Gal, Yellow Rose, Panchito, and the one in RAF markings, but not the others. Boy, how I miss Oshkosh, nothing else like it in the world!
