Dusk and Dawn with Lindy and friends.

Post by ianf »

As you may have seen in my post in the Air show section. A rolling Thunder took place last Sunday. I am part of the Victor team, so was the whole weekend. I took advantage of the fact we moved the aircraft on the Saturday and by a miracle the weather was fine to get some shots at Sunset and Sunrise.

Sunset.

Dawn was also decent and when I got to the jets they were shrouded in a ground fog, which as dawn approached moved off the jets but lingered on the field.

Very nice set, and certainly something unique and different. Looks like you made the most of the sunset. Hard to choose, but No 11 is my favourite from those

Thanks for the comments guys. jag yes I was on my own. Being a member of Lindys crew, means I get my "pay" in opportunities like this. I have waited a long time to get my second dawn shoot with her, the ground fog really added to the atmosphere being a ex WW2 bomber base. I wish I had have had help, because the giraffe ladders I was using was not light!

Great set of photos, I particularly like the Buccaneer fog shots.

Some truly lovely sights there Ian, and some reward for being up at crack of sparrows to bring the old machines to life. Superb.
