The Merlin EH(AW)101From Design to Frontline Thanks UKAR

Post by RichPittman »

Hi All,

Around a Year ago I had the idea of making a personal book on the EH101.
My collection of photos only go back the last 15 Years and I couldn't make the book without help.
I contacted a publisher and from there my 1st publication has come about.
After great support from Friends, other enthusiasts and Leonardo Helicopters it is now available
Id like to thank UKAR for the forum coverage over all the Years and all the enthusiasts I have met through UKAR.

The aim of the book was to show all the different variants made and all the colour schemes and to look back at some of the last 30 Years history.
The book is dedicated to my late Father who started work in Westland in 1988 just after I was born.

On October the 9th it will be 30 Years since Trevor Eggington and Colin Hague made the 1st EH(AW)101 flight.
I am having a book launch signing in Tesco Yeovil with Colin to mark the event on Sunday 8th October 2017 at 10 AM.
Dave Burrow is kindly bringing along some of his model 101s to put on display.
The book is also available in a few places online.
Amazon, Amberley, Waterstones.

I always thought of myself as a photographer and his book has all come around in a whirl!
It has been a busy Year!

I will be back on UKAR soon with some more photos from holidays to show
Cheers Rich

Congrats on getting your book published, not always easy but you're amongst very good company with Amberley.

I attended the very successful book-launch at Yeovil yesterday & am now the proud owner of a signed copy of this book. First impressions are of a comprehensive volume containing many images I've never seen before.
Great to see the books selling like 'hot cakes', like Rich' normally makes for his day-job
