Re: Radom Air Show 2018 (100th Anniversary of Polish Air For
So Radom as the site is official now? A week or two ago I checked a few polish newspapers (through Google translate, I hasten to add) and what those said was there were multiple bases wanting to host (Powidz, Deblin and Radom were specifically mentioned, Radom being rated as the least likely), with another option mentioned being a 100 day event taking place at 100 different places.
A weather forecast is a forecast and just that

Yes, it wil be Radom for sure. After every edition there are rumors that Air Show might take place at different location, but in the end Polish Army always chooses Radom.
Re: Radom Air Show 2018 (100th Anniversary of Polish Air For
It does indeed sound like it's going to be huge, I was told that some of the aircraft might even have to be stationed at Deblin and just fly in for their display.
Re: Radom Air Show 2018 (100th Anniversary of Polish Air For
Isn't this going to clash with the 100th Anniversary of the czechoslovak air force at the Slovak International Air Fest in Silac?

Unfortunately yes. Date isn't official yet, but it won't probably change.
Edit: Good news, SIAF has been moved to September

No, but milavia.net seems to be a reliable source.

From Ian Allan Travel
NOVEMBER 2017 – LATEST NEWS: Due to the ever-increasing size of the airshow the organisers are now considering the static display being on Deblin AFB with the flying programme at Radom AFB and we await confirmation.
Perhaps our Polish readers will know more?

It's possible - Radom might be too small for all aircraft. That's all I know.

Any rumors about participants?

Frecce Tricolori, Patrouille de France and Red Arrows - at least two of these teams are rumored to perform at Radom Air Show. Something from "exotic country" is also going to appear, maybe PAF Sherdils?
Re: Radom Air Show 2018 (100th Anniversary of Polish Air For
Lets hope it will be Red Arrows... PAF Sherdils would be gread. Also JF-17...

Yes, it would be nice for the Red Arrows, or any flying asset from the RAF for that matter, to attend Radom. Especially considering its the 100th Anniversary, and the contribution that Polish pilots made to the RAF during WWII.

I rather suspect that Dunsfold, Rhyl (and maybe Clacton) hope that the Reds don't travel to Poland!

Yes, certainly. With such a high number of airshows in the UK it is hard for the RAF to send anything overseas.

The Swiss Hornet Display flew for the SIAF in Sliac in 2015, and for the NATO Days in Ostrava in 2016.
Radom will have the honor to receive 2018 the visit from the “Patrouille Suisse”

Yes got to say I am very tempted dependent on how the participants list shapes up.
Given the cheap flights out of Manchester and Liverpool its not expensive to get to Poland.
Can any of our Polish friends give an idea which airports are best to fly into for onward travel to Radom?
Is camping available or anywhere close by where there are cheap hotels or hostels?
Thanks in advance..

Warsaw Modlin looks the closest and most of the hotels are already booked!
