There are a number of other aircraft that have been invited. Some have confirmed but we cannot give advance notice of their attendance and some we are still awaiting confirmation.

Looking forward to next Thursday and the long range weather forecast is looking hopeful.

Are the 'joining instructions' email being sent out soon, or have they already been sent, as I have not received one yet, so may need to check my spam and quarantine folders.

Really is shaping up very nice. I'm crossing my fingers for something RAF and rotary but there's enough already announced to leave me very happy. Frankly I was at "very happy" after the Sea King announcement!

Sorry I'm being dense but the joining instructions referred to arriving at 1730 prompt, but later said to arrive between 1700 and 1900? Which is it? As I said apologies if I'm getting confused but don't want to get it wrong!

17-00 refers to the earliest you can arrive. Any earlier and there will be nobody to process you through the gate and this will cause a jam.
19-00 is the latest time you will be allowed in.
The spread is due to the heavy traffic around the airfield. This means some people will build in plenty of spare time for their journey and arrive early, while others may get held up and arrive later than intended.
Lots of attendees arrive in the area well before 17-00 and park somewhere nearby, then make their way to the gate between 17-00 and 17-30.

Winds gusting 20mph from the south forecast for tomorrow evening. Don't think there will be much mist about.

Nor Bird Dogs, for that matter. 20kts is well outside of crosswind limits for an L-19E.

After the rain and lack of wind today, it's gone very misty here tonight in my part of Cambridgeshire.

The L-19E has cancelled due to poor weather forecast enroute. It is a VFR only aircraft.

The Sea King has had to scrub also.

Both the surprise participants have confirmed as still attending!
