Post by Fumbles »

A few sneak peek pictures of what I have been up to in the past month. I'll post the rest on Sunday including Tucson, El Centro, NAS Fallon and of course the canyon and Aviation Nation at Nellis AFB. Hope you all enjoy them?

Lovely. One of the best places I have ever visited. Wonderful photo opportunities there. Great shots too.

Hello everyone. I'm finally caught up with my 2017 travels and pictures except for where I am with my 1/32 Super Hornet build in the modelling area. So for the finish up of my latest travels. Early November myself and a few great friends travelled from Las Vegas to El Centro, on to MCAS Yuma and then off for a flight over the Boneyard in Tucson. From there we did the long drive back North all the way to Fallon Nevada for a visit on base, A glorious day was spent at NAS Fallon after which we drove back South to Rainbow/Starwars/Jedi Canyon/Pass/Transition lol.. Finishing off at Aviation Nation/Nellis AFB show which is already posted in the Airshow section. Sadly we had overcast for El Centro, Yuma and the flight over Tucson so most of these shots will be NAS Fallon and the Canyon.

Thanks for looking and the Thank You for the comments.

19. One from El Centro. We only stayed for an hour since there was not much traffic and no visitors on the pan.

20. Again... Still overcast at Yuma the same day so only two shots from there of the days activities.

Next up a few shots out of Tucson Arizona. The flight was great, sadly the light not so much. First up was a drill weekend which meant that even though it was a Saturday. There must have been at least 40 F-16s launch including this 2 seated Iraqi F-16.

36. The Alaska Vipers did a few flypasts over the Canyon... Who knows, maybe with the deployment for the next few months. They may enter it rather then tease us with a flyover.

So that is all folks for my travels in 2017. I may squeeze in JFEX next week. But 2018 is looking just as busy. Thanks again for having a look.

Heads up... The Navy crews in the U.S. call them "Adversaries", The USAF call them Aggressors. Word is the NAVY crews get a little sensitive if you call them aggressors.

Nice selection Rod - must try and get to Rainbow one day but not often in Nevada outside of August, when it might be a trifle warm...

Lots of great stuff there! Next time you come to the UK, can you bring a quartet of the Navy F-5s and a large portion of those blue skies!

Many thanks for the comment everyone, it sure was one heck of a trip. We covered 2550 Miles of driving in 7 days...... The game of "I Spy" in the desert became rather samey.
