Seoul ADEX 2017 - image heavy

Post by D90Man »

This one had been on my list for a while, not least because we never see ROKAF assets in the Western hemisphere (other than when the Black Eagles came over for RIAT).

The show itself was somewhat underwhelming, possible because of the increased tensions with the North - however, the normal operational movements from the other side of the runway did go some way to making me happier. Heat haze on the sunny day and tough exposures on the overcast day made life challenging as well.

That said, I made a poor decision on the Tuesday not to be at the show for the opening ceremony, as I wasn't going to be allowed in until after 1.00pm - this meant I missed the flypast / demonstration by the ROKAF :wall:

Hope these are of interest - some more at my website.

Amazing images of some stunning (and surprising) aircraft. A pristine 748! A heavily modded 125. I had no idea, ex Japanese by any chance?

And what is the helicopter in shots 12 & 13? Indigenous I guess, but looks like a Black Hawk & Puma's love child.

Definitely worth a visit!

Thanks for posting

Thanks BriLlo

I had (on the fly) thought Super Puma / Cougar but actually now that I have researched for another of my posts (http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=79636) I believe it to be a KAI KUH-1 Surion (see http://www.helis.com/database/model/1031/).
