Excellent news, especially following the Daily Record report that there will be a break in 2019 due to council funding issues (although they are committing to 2020).

Maybe the '19 funding issues are going to be because they're going to blow the budget on this years show  .Thats a superb start!

If that's for starters Woo Hoo
Roll on the main course, and start dreaming of desserts.

Also just to confirm that it's Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of September

And that looking at their website the F/A-18 is scheduled for both days.

Firstly fantastic first participant for the Airshow the Swiss Hornet, also yet again, why no Static?, have really missed it the last couple of Years. Would have thought the organisers would have attempted to celebrate the RAF100 a little more.

I think you will find that Prestwick Airport are not keen on the logistics of supporting a static display.

Is the Scottish International Airshow not part of the RAF100 Celebrations? I find that a little surprising and concerning. Also find it a little concerning that it appears to clash again with Bournemouth and Port Rush, which do appear on the RAF100 List, has the Scottish Show been overlooked - hope not.

Don't count your chickens just yet with the Swiss Hornet.

They were down to display at B/mth a couple of years ago, and pulled out at the last minute citing not enough maintenance personnel being available at the time.

No, but B/mth is listed as being part of RAF100, so maybe they'll be supporting that show overall this time, as B/mth missed out last year.

TSIA and Portrush work together through R5 Air Displays. Also bear in mind that they are the two main shows for Northern Ireland and Scotland!

SF, are we likely to see anything aloft this year from the Birthday Service other than the usual fare, Typhoon, Red Arrows, BBMF, Chinook and Falcons?

Best Regards, :cuppa:

How about a Formation Flypast with a Scottish Based Typhoon and an F-35 together? A Welcome to Scotland for the RAF F-35 maybe?

Should have said an "operational" RAF F-35B. I think I actually saw the F-35Bs over The Forth heading for Rosyth a couple of Years ago for the Carriers at Rosyth if that's what your meaning.

As seen on TSIA's website, they have added the BBMF, Red Arrows, RAF Falcons and the Grob Tutor to the display list.
