Those first two Cranberries albums still get regular airplay in my house/car. Such a unique vocal in this day and age.

Cyrille Regis, the former West Brom and England forward, has died aged 59.

Really sad to hear the news this morning. Met him twice when I was a young kid, he came to hand out the end of season trophies at our football club. A gentleman, and of course a pioneer. He was never "Cyrille Regis" in our house, just "Cyrille" or "Big Cyrille". A lovely bloke, and a very underrated footballer.

RIP Cyrille Regis. He, and Laurie Cunningham, and Brendan Batson had an immense influence on football, and on me as a little lad. I can vividly remember that West Brom team coming to Roker Park. Far too young to die, but he'll never be forgotten.

Edwin Hawkins has passed away aged 74. Heard "Oh happy Day" on the radio this morning, followed by the presenter saying it was quite apt seeing as yesterday was blue monday!

The actor Peter Wyngarde has died aged 90, his agent has confirmed.

Think he died a couple of days ago.
Hard to tell, though, as just about everything else about his life is vague & contradictary, including his age.


Can also add Hugh Wilson, director of the first 'Police Academy' movie, who died a few days ago.
And for those who are fans of the 'BSG' remake, Donnelly Rhodes - 'Dr. Cottle' - also died earlier this month.
