Don't know when they updated it to show the date, but the BBC website initially had it ( undated ) in the 'More on this story' section on the bottom of the 'Howard Lew Lewis dead' page.
Not the first time people have been caught out by BBC stupidity & it's unlikely to be the last.

Surely it's user stupidity for clicking an article and not looking at the date?!

I was just reading the death announcements column in the local rag, isn't it strange how people always seem to die, each week, in alphabetical order?

I read a few of the Earthsea books, to my son as bedtime stories, and I have to say they weren’t bad – which is praise coming from me, as I don’t normally do dragons or wizards.

The Left Hand of Darkness is in the pile of books that I will get around to reading, one day.

I'm just wondering if the funeral directors will go with the traditional approach of the coffin half hanging out the back and the boot lid held down with some rope which seems to be mandatory for all vehicles I've ever seen leaving Ikea.
