The two giant frying pans have made their last appearance then!

I've never come across it unstaffed but then I only use it outside of showground hours, not during the daytime.

Only two band nights this year!. I'm sure it'll all be as good as usual though, and back to normal this year after last year's Euro Championship disruptions. Its three short weeks away folks!

You mean the usual suspects aren't already up in the top field parking cars/pitching one-man tents in various pitches to reserve them for when their mates turn up on the Thursday/Friday, then ?

Just got back from Kempsford, made a run for it at one o'clock when the one way system changed back. Had a great time and nice to meet up with some familiar faces again.

What with the somewhat busier start to the RIAT build up, will Kempsford go on sale any earlier? I'm guessing not, but it might be nice as it seems that sorting accommodation could be harder this year than on previous years.

Doubt it....and it'll be the usual 'first come, first served' amongst those who've stayed there previously & I very much doubt if there'll be any vacancies for the first-timers to take.

I agree Brevet, I suspect that this year of all years Kempsford will sell out with renewals, assuming capacity remains the same. In which case it doesn't really matter too much when they go on sale.

I think the Mach3 sell-out in October is the indicator flag.

Seems likely that Kempsford will go on sale tomorrow :) I wonder how quickly it'll sell out this time!

I was just thinking exactly the same. You get a month's grace to rebook, so I usually have a rather laid back attitude to sending it off, but I won't be hanging around this year.

Will 'big orange', my palatial Kempsford residence, have another year in it, that's the question.

Will we have people repeatedly clicking on both the RIAT & Kempsford websites looking for updates today ?

For 'not much', substitute 'none' if the last couple of years are anything to go by....I think last year there were a fair few regulars who dipped out by leaving it too late.

Form downloaded & filled in, will be posting it off this evening.
Was undecided whether to book from my usual Tuesday or to go for he Monday instead.
Despite the fact that I'm working the Sunday night I've decided to opt for Monday, so I'll be rocking up there late afternoon/early evening ( instead of my usual 05:00-06:00 Tuesday morning )
