The Works - Books

Post by zigzag »

May not be in all branches but The Works has a couple of heavily discounted 'Boys' books. Jaguar Boys & Hunter Boys, might be of interest to some

I picked up a few good ones about a fortnight ago. Lancaster M- Mother, one on the Kipper Patrol and one on the ATA and another on the WAAF. As an aside a friend picked up a cracking little book for me yesterday at East Kirkby event - was only a couple of quid on the military Auster which I haven't seen before. I have found The Works does tend to have some interesting books in this time of year on the lead up to Remembrance Sunday.

Bumping this thread because I noticed today that my local (Sutton Coldfield) branch of The Works has copies of "Cobra! The Attack Helicopter" by Mike Verier for £10. Good book for any AH-1 fans out there.

Popped into my local branch of The Works today. New stock in, amongst other things if interested were Haynes manuals for Typhoons, Tomcats, Spitfires and Wessex. All still £6.

Online they have Haynes manuals for Typhoon, Spitfire, Hurricane, Wessex, Mosquito, Tomcat and Vulcan all for £6 each. Free postage over £20 and currently 17% through Quidco if you use that.
