XT914 at Wattisham
XT914 at Wattisham
The latest in an increasingly successful series of Timeline Events aviation-focused photoshoots, saw 50 or so hardy photographers brave the sub-zero temperatures at Wattisham on Sunday afternoon/evening. With stunning light and some wonderful angles to capture in the sunshine and lights after sunset, several images will be worked through, but here's two to start with as a taster of what the evening provided.

I've thawed out now - the trick in keeping warm was layers, lots of em. And warm drinks welcomingly provided by the museum staff.
Thanks for viewing

I think I prefer it without people in all honesty.
That last shot is a corker.

Re: XT914 at Wattisham
Thanks all for your comments; I'm quite pleased with a selection of the images and it was a great evening with good company and banter and a stunning pair of 'planes to photograph is stunning light. I've a preference for a mix of plane-alone and plane with people shots, the people do bring the subject to life.. but sometimes a still-life type image is nice too. I'm not fussy... i just like both. So here's a brace of images of scenes enhanced with some re-enactor participation:
Phantom sunset by Jonathan Hughes, on Flickr
Crewing up by Jonathan Hughes, on Flickr
Hopefully these will appeal to some.
thanks again.

The first shot on the OP is nice. The second one is an absolute belter, and all the better without people in it... distilled essence of RAF Phantom!
