I recently received the Sigma 150-600 C lens, upgrading from an old 100-400 Sigma lens. The new Contemporary lens has a new (by my standards) OS 2 mode, which I believe (from reading online) is the correct mode for aircraft photography.
On the old 100-400 I started on OS 1 (the only option) but by the end of its life, turned it off completely. Not sure my eyes noticed any difference, but might have just been me.
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks.

Re: Sigma OS
To elaborate - OS1 attempts to correct for movement in both lateral and vertical axes; so is intended for stationary subjects (e.g. hovering helicopter), whereas OS2 only corrects for vertical movement and is intended to be used for panning shots, however some say that OS is only effective at slower shutter speeds and may be counter-productive at faster speeds, i.e. 1/500 and faster.
