APOLLO11 currently up between Harrogate and York. Doesn't look to be travelling fast enough to be the space shuttle. Any ideas?

"Apollo" is the callsign used by 41 squadron Typhoons that are based at Coningsby.

No problem, some other callsigns they use are "Rebel", "Viking" and "Rouge".

No ID yet, but just had 'Shadow Formation' calling on approach to St Athan.
Possibly Grobs, possibly the assortment of GA aircraft from Kemble again, possibly something else.

Sassen frassen rassen USAF !! :tongue2:
Listening to the scanner & heard comms from what sounded like BONE 11 up over Mid Wales.
Naturally, thought it was a B-1.
Checked Fairford NOTAMs....nothing.
Then heard them mention Lakenheath.
Checked ADS-B Exchange....turns out the callsign was BONES 11 & it's an F-15 ( or flight of )
:butt:

Slightly off topic.....
Given that they're regular visitors do Fairford for the deployments, I see on the SWAG website that one of Atlas Air's B767s ( N767MW, callsign GIANT 7757 ) is due in to Cardiff Airport around 19:00hrs today ( from Denver ) and isn't departing until Monday morning.

Edited to add....
SWAG now have it as departing on Monday afternoon.

Heard the comms with it but thought it was just another Airbus....
F-WTTN up out of Cardiff Airport on an air test.
Not really just another Airbus, though, as it's the first of the A330-900neo ones ( think there are still only 2 of them )

Other than the F-35s, anything else due to be dragged across from CONUS today?
Reason for asking is that ADS-B Exchange are currently showing a flight of 4x KC-10s ( TEAM 21-24 ) coasting out from New Jersey.

TEAM is a squadron training callsign, fairly common to see three or four of them together as they practice plugging each others' holes.

Don't usually take much notice of anything going on over there, unless there's a deployment due.

Hangar 11's P-51D was on the list for Weston airshow this weekend. Probably that one.

A Spitfire was up somewhere over Gloucestershire earlier this afternoon as well....don't know which one, only heard it a couple of times using the callsign SPITFIRE.

Bit of an unusual one, Honda HA-420 Hondajet arrived at Cardiff Airport about 10 minutes ago.
RAF100 Typhoon presumably also inbound Cardiff after displaying at Llandudno ( as it's not scheduled to display at Swansea for another 4 hours )

Another unusual one....
Gulfstream G450 currently transiting Westbound midway across the St George's Channel.
Callsign 'MEDEVAC 4A', it's listed as being HS-MS4A belonging to the Saudi Armed Forces Medical Services.
Unless it was just a stop-off, it looks to be routing out of Stansted Airport.
