Is this intended to be a proper show like 2016, or a whole lot of nothing like last year?

It did say that was the first wave of announcements, are all Aero Legends, or associated with them, so I hope they will add to it.

Hi folks just joined and visiting the UK from Oz this June/July, have a ticket
for the Saturday 30/6/18 show trying to work out when the flying actually
happens? Am I correct in saying the displays are from 2 to 5pm only?

Bit of a bucket list trip and have limited time and a non aeroplane wife so
want to make the most of my time seeing warbirds in the air.

Be grateful for any tips re the show as well, thank you................

Having been to both the 2015 and 2017 editions of the show, it is hard to say how this one will pan out seeing as those two shows were extremely different!

2015 saw a nice number of visiting warbirds, Blenheim, Buchons, Hurricanes and Spitfires expertly displayed, the final tail chase/ airfield attack sequence in the late afternoon sun was superb! 2017 never really lived up to the precedent set by the 2015 event with a lot promised and it not being delivered, such as the visiting Messerschmitt that sat on the ground all weekend having failed to gain its display authorisation in time and the repeat of the airfield attack never materialising!

Headcorn has the potential for some excellent photo opportunities if you a photographer, the sun is behind you all day and the background is uncluttered. There will be plenty of chance to see the warbirds that are present in the air with many going out throughout the day on local flights.

The current line-up is a good start I am just hoping that it is built upon to try and replicate the 2015 offering!

Hope this helps, and enjoy your time in the UK

Made some enquiries about this show recently and had a chat with someone involved in the planning and that is their intention. All being well, there should be more to come.

Thanks Thommo95, I'm grateful. From what I can make out from the shows site
all the flying occurs in the afternoon. My wife is not so keen on the old aeroplane
thing so I'm hoping if you show up at lunch time you won't have missed much?

Yes based on the previous editions, flying starts around 2PM, I have gotten there early to get at the front to get an unobstructed view. The show ground area does get fairly busy but I don't see why arriving around midday would be an issue.

It'll be a decent view wherever you sit really. I think they try to centre the display on/near the big trees on the other side of the runway, so anywhere opposite them should be fine. They do usually park up the participants in front of the crowd though, so you will have to be lucky if you get something parked right in front of you and not be able to see the runway properly.
