Grumman Albatross at Oban
Re: Grumman Albatross at Oban
From elsewhere on Twitter this came across via Canada. It was in the UK in 2002/3 and appeared at several shows, albeit in a slightly different USN scheme.

Yes indeed, it was at Seawings 2000 down at Southampton when I saw it last.
Any idea where she's off next? Would love to see it again?

Im sure the owner has family on one of the Isles and comes over every year, for the last few, im sure its the same guy who has used his PC-12 for his holidays. Hopefully he feels the need to visit Dundee as he usually does.

He's based in Nevada and on it's way to the seaplane meeting/airshow at Lac de Biscarrosse 07-10 June. Also present will be a Beriev Be-200, Catalina N9767, CL-415, Beaver LN-NCC and others... Another Albatross has been restored to static condition over the last two years and is now on display at the Biscarrosse museum.

Any idea of how long it's there for? That would be a nice run up North to Oban to see it.
"Nice pics mate" comments only! No criticism please.

Doesn't appear to be plotting on any of the usual tracking sites.
