Post by ianf »

Fairford took one step closer for me, with the arrival of my FRIAT ticket, my 20th time on the A row, looking forward to it! :yahoo:

I had high hopes of the postman this morning Ian mate, but no luck. As childish and immature as it is, I'll be like a cat on hot bricks until that white envelope hits the doormat. Its like the first day of the advent calendar when I was a young 'un.

The first of a few batches was posted this week. It will take a couple of weeks for all memberships to be packaged and posted.

Congratulations! You have already managed to provide more information than the Poznan folks managed for the Tiger Meet over the course of about 4 months...
Posting comments on an aviation-related chatroom, are ya? Looks like it an' all...

Can I clarify my question wasn't a criticism of any kind. Just giving folk an outlet to say they have got one. Wrexham I agree Riat has become more than an airshow, it is the aviation social event of the year. I mean 44 days till I get to Kempsford but who's counting

Mine arrived yesterday. First time on Row A for me. Not sure how many seats wide the stand is....

I have essentially the exact same seats that I had last year, which is funny since it was a ways down my selection list...but I'm ok with it. I don't have my tickets yet. I'm hoping they'll be one of the first bits of mail I receive in our new house. Roll on July.

Just curious, if you don't have your tickets yet, how do you know what seats you have been allocated?

Okay, so as yet no reply to my question above. So given Go4Long's comment about his seat allocation, then stating he hasn't received his tickets yet, is there a way other than waiting for them to arrive in the mail to find out what seat I will get?

I'm in Australia and mine may still be as much as 3 weeks away given the time to reach me here.

Not that I'm aware of Alan, if there's another way other than seeing your seat number printed on your ticket I'd be interested to find it out too.

I'm feeling the same Paul. Although having checked the tweet, it's only two weeks yesterday since they sent the first ones and the tweet said "More will follow over the next few weeks", so maybe too early to panic yet.

My biggest concern is I'm going away soon and if it gets delivered to my stupid post box outside the property thing it could be sat there for a week just off the public footpath. I'll have to get someone to check my letter box daily.

Also still a bit surprised that something of this value isn't sent out recorded delivery. I'd happily pay the extra.

I still haven't received my FRIAT packages. Getting a little concerning since I leave a week from Monday.
