Are we expecting another?

Not sure what happened, but the spare never arrived at Leeuwarden and the other MiG (S/N 105) carried on to Shawbury - a second may arrive tomorrow or later, but don't quote me.

I'm ready for the weekend.

According to a source on FC,the airfield doesn't open until 14.00 hrs Friday and Saturday.Just thought I'd let people know who might plan to get there early and stand there waiting to see nothing until after 14.00.

Incorrect. Open 1000-1800L on Friday. 1200-1900L Saturday. I'll wave if I'm passing in my X5... :pinkwafer:

Ok I had better head over to FC and tell him he's got it wrong if someone hasn't already. He posted that he was 100% sure that was the times.I won't be near any roads to watch the validations so I won't be able to wave back to you, but thanks for posting the correct info.

The 2pm timings the FC lot have got are from the NOTAM's for Cosford's Temporary restricted area over the weekend (2-5pm Fri/Sat, 10.30-18.30 Sun), which presumably is to clear the area for any practice displays etc - arrivals can then be within the overall timings from Peter

You've got a long wait between 8 and 12 but realistically, the railway platform is the only place to watch from.

It's very *very* distant but i've enjoyed watching displays from the museum car park before. No chance of any photos, but a decent vantage point to watch the display as a teaser for the next day.
