Can we start a Teichman tribute/thank you thread?

Post by pbeardmore »

With the news of his retirement, I like the idea of a tribute thread. Being hopeless at photos...it's over to you

We can indeed. What a man, and what machines! Sadly, I never really god great pics of BE505 or PL965. Hopefully I can make amends for the latter at least when I'm at Cosford.

I was luckier in seeing his P-40 as Lulu Belle, and his P-51 which I've presented in both its TITS guise, and it's old JJ uniform.

Being from the States, I only had the pleasure of seeing Peter display once, at Shoreham back in 2014 with the lovely Spit PR11. Beautiful display it was, too.

I've noticed this in a couple of my own (from 2015 at least) and others' shots.

Anyone have an idea why he often wears the Dutch F-16 solo display patch on his right shoulder?

I hope Old Warden do him justice for his last display in Oct. Final spot with some music or a thank you present.

It would be a shame if his display (and his long term contribution) is not recognised

PS based on the stunning shots already posted, we could do a fantastic photobook?

Peter's displays were always excellent, and I will certainly not forget him or his aircraft for a long time.

Always preferred his Mustang in the JJ scheme.

His Hurricane display at Dunsfold last year was great, and with the aircraft being for sale at the time of the show I knew it would probably be my last time seeing this aircraft.

What a fantastic collection of shots! I can't compete or equal them, but I would like to thank Mr Teichman for his great contribution to our hobby and wish him the very best for his future, Thanks Peter, looking forward to your displays this season!
pbeardmore, you started a great thread, which as you said, Mr T absolutely deserves!
