The first post of the first event of the year - Black Sea Defence and Aerospace exhibition May 2018 (16-18.05.2018). Every two years this exhibition is organised in Bucharest - Baneasa airport and contains a few air demos from the Romanian Air Force. The static display was shared between the RoAF and the US assets from the USAF and the US Army.

6.BAC 1-11 - it is unfortunately not a RomBAC - those were assembled by Romaero just in the hangars behind this one. This one was restored from an abandoned aircraft... and is used as a promotional exhibit also wearing the Romania 100 logo.

No the 1-11 does not fly anymore... it was just abandoned on the airport and Romaero refurbished its interior and put on some fresh paint - to showcase their capabilities ... The BAC 1-11 does not have a valid type certificate anymore, EASA revoked it in 2010. So if there are any aircraft still flying somewhere - it is done under the responsibility of that State of Registry - no more support from the Manufacturer....
