In the flesh that sticker is a monstrosity. When you look at the effort that other air arms have put into various schemes, including ones commemorating our anniversary, it shows just how pitiful it really is. It makes the aircraft look plastic.

Would love to have seen the bewildered look on their faces when that arrived in the post. They must have been searching through the polystyrene chips looking for the rest of it.

Hope it came with instructions as to where it had to go because with a canvas that big it wouldn't have been immediately obvious.

Op reasons for the ATL2. It came, it left.

Given that they apparently have 22 in service (although I of course realise they wouldn't all be available for ops) it must have been either an emergency or a bit of off planning, mustn't it?!

Excuse my ignorance but what is the flag being flown from the German C160?

Not sure which base it's from, but wikipedia seems to suggest the flag could be from the Schleswig-Holstein area in Germany, so maybe it's that

Edit: It seems that the Luftwaffengeschwader 51 now operate from there, with Tornados. Links to the RAF as it used to be an RAF base post war.

Thanks. I did do a google search for "flag of the Luftwaffe" and "flag of the German Airforce" and got lots of images of flags that were, shall we say, 'historical' in nature!
