All aircraft with the exception of the BBMF Hurricane and B17 will operate from Coningsby. The layout of the site has also changed slightly to allow additional aircraft parking at the Northern end of the site, allowing aircraft to be more accessible prior to display for photography.

Very strange, the BBMF Hurricane and B-17 at Cosby and the rest at Coningsby.
Re: Victory Show 2018
I'm tempted to attend tomorrow just to shoot the warbirds operating from the grass strip...

Re: Victory Show 2018
I’ve decided to take the gamble as the ground show is normally really good too
Re: Victory Show 2018
Let's hope the premises causing the obstruction is unoccupied for the day and we get the normal display line!
Re: Victory Show 2018
Too much of a gamble for me. I'll go to Shuttleworth this weekend. It's a real shame as I thoroughly enjoyed myself at Cosby the first year I went. Second time not so much because of the alternate display line. Was really hoping to see it back to when I first went.
Loafer for Mr. Da Vinci.

Me too, maybe if they can get a couple of successful flying shows under their belt I’ll go back but this weekend I’ll be heading to Shuttleworth. Hope they manage to have a good weekend though and wish them best of luck.

I’m doing Shuttleworth Sunday too just in case
Re: Victory Show 2018
Will be going Sunday. Lucky its pretty much a 5 minute drive up the road.
Re: Victory Show 2018
So the display is going ahead saw the harvard parked up at Leicester Airport ready that's the nearest proper airport to the displsy
Re: Victory Show 2018
Licester airport as always been the stageing or holding place. A lot of people go there for some good photo ops.
Re: Victory Show 2018
P-47 and both P-51Ds on the ground.

About an hour ago. I’m in Glen Parva which is 3 miles or so away, can’t see much but can hear everything. Including the battle re-enactment.
Lovely weather.........

The display line is a big U shape so they arch around the Dakota away from the crowd then cut in over the battlefield

Is it any good or should I just stick with the plan and go to Shuttleworth? Bearing in mind that ticket sales close in 10 minutes...

Re: Victory Show 2018
It was good for top sides but not a lot of aerobatics mostly tailchases and formation passes
Re: Victory Show 2018
Brilliant afternoon at Cosby, have to say I thought the curved display line worked well. It mean lots of low, fast, topside passes from most of the warbirds. Only the Texan & Thunderbolt performed aerobatic solo displays. I was near the centre of the show, and 400mm wasn't quite enough a single warbird, however I think if you're positioned at the northern end (near where the Dakota is parked) you'll be fine as they curve in from the north. Bravo for R5 and the team for getting flying back at this venue.
Re: Victory Show 2018
I enjoyed the display they worked well with the space they had and lots to see on the ground to the planes took off away from the houses and did circuits and formation flying and you had the aliad planes chaseing the German plane 2 planes tried some aerobatics but not a lot of it due to the space on the flight line
Re: Victory Show 2018
Probably said this before this event is not just about the airshow there's some great exhibitions on the ground the battle etc your going here for the total ww2 experience not just an airshow this event is for ww2 fans not rearly for the airshow fans is there was another airshow nearby like Scampton which is not on this year would have gone there

Gonna give this one a try tomorrow I think rather than Shuttleworth.

Is it clear which display line was used?
I shall be attending regardless.
