Fantastic Geoff.

I've been wanting to hit Stauning for quite some time now especially for the fly in.

Danekok and KZ types- Oh my!!

Like the Noggies, everything looks good Danish!

Re: Flying Legends 2015

Do they have vulcan at flying legends No Craig. The very mention of non-prop engines causes mass hysteria amongst the legends massive. The Vulcan would probably result in ritual burning down of the museum as bare chested airshow groupies chant Vera Lynn songs and hum the 633sqn and dambusters theme...

Re: 2015 Airshow Dates Announced

Brian is just giving everyone the heads up so when you arrive for Legends at the crack of dawn you know how far the fence has been moved back. Then you can park your chairs, gazebos and wind breaks at the front and then have a wander around the museum for a good few hours before flying starts! Sound...

Re: 2015 Airshow Dates Announced

I love how some people 'expect' to get a place right at the front near the fence. This goes for every air show, if you want to be right at the front, then get there early. Personally, for me, the amount of windbreaks and other stuff at Duxford has been the same as other shows this year. But Duxford...

Re: 2015 Airshow Dates Announced

Where have Duxford shot themselves in the foot. They have a formula that can fill an air show to crowd capacity. If it's not broken don't fix it. I'd call reducing the size of one of the best viewing spots, shooting themselves in the foot. The fact that not only do you not see it as a problem, but ...

Re: 2015 Airshow Dates Announced

Flippin' eck, so many 'enthusiasts' are loosing the plot lately. I'm glad I'm not an enthusiast. If I'd adopted the attitudes of the 'enthusiasts' who post on here I'd have changed my hobby a long time ago. I also like the way 'enthusiasts' seem to know what Joe Public want when actually it's what ...

Re: 2015 Airshow Dates Announced

How do you see warbird operators getting damaged from DX's events?

Take your example Sally B, she will be at all three of those shows and from what I hear she already has quite a few bookings for next year and the trip to Payerne apparently was a big boost financially.

Re: 2015 Airshow Dates Announced

Duxford now clashes with Southport in September Southport isn't going to make much difference to Duxford. Goodwood does make a difference with Duxford as various operators based at DX attend the Revival year on year. I can already name one aircraft that I'm sure the Revival will be all over, yet I'...

Re: Blenheim taxi run...

30 years ago to see a Hawker bi-plane in the air would be a treat, and the thoughts of thinking that in the future there would be 4/5 airworthy just wasn't there. Technically there was as the Hind began flying in 1982. I know where you're coming from though, I'll always get weak knees at the sight/...

Fantastic news tempered only by the fact that it's not a proper Blenheim and so is pointless. Not sure whether you are trolling, or being serious? Regardless of whether it is or isn't a blenheim, its still something new on the UK airshow circuit, and it makes a change for something to actually join...

Paperwork issues. That was July, still not seen any reports of it rolling a wheel in anger since then. Wasn't this airframe converted to a glass cockpit? Could that be a problem getting signed off I wonder? The glass cockpit was the original plan, though I believe it never got signed off (understan...

Re: Abingdon Air & Country Show 2015- Sunday 3rd May

The Finnish Hurricane is indeed back in it's Silver RAF South Rhodesian scheme. The reason for the Finnish scheme was only for the show in Finland. There is another Hurricane being built by the same company that is going to be in a permanent Finnish scheme I believe and will also be heading for Finl...

Re: Duxford sucked - Sunday Airshow

Duxford take the piss having to pay to walk around the statics after paying to enter the event, I don't see anywhere like RIAT doing that (imagine the outrage if they did ) Duxford have a thing or two to learn from other events, and until they do so I refuse to pay to go watch an airshow there Inca...
