Re: RIAT 2015

I am afraid the Czech Gripen most likely will cancel pretty soon due to operational commitments. What makes you say this? Where are they going. They will replace Canada as NATO:s Air Policing force over Iceland this summer. Canada need their aircraft in the mid east fighting IS. The "most like...

Re: RIAT 2014 - Participation Thread

Saab will officially be at RIAT and Farnborough, the Gripen NG hack is scheduled to be at Farnborough (but not the whole show) As it is today the only Gripen NG:ish that will be at Farnborough is the premiere of a full scale mock up of a JAS 39E. The mock up will not be at RIAT. The Gripen that wil...

The final two shows of the 2013 season in Sweden

Re: 10 minutes with an old Saab

Thanks for the comments! The airfield is Saab/Linköping airport on the eastern side of Linköping, Sweden (there is a an airfield on the western side too, Malmen, that housed last years air show for example). There will not be any international displays this year due to several reasons, the major one...

10 minutes with an old Saab

I was lucky enough to have the sole flying Saab B17 performing in front of me this friday. Positioned on top of the Saab airfield control tower it turned out to be a magical event. The clouds stayed away for most of the time and the display was pleasing for a photographer with top sides, loooow alti...

Re: Viggen, first display of 2013.

It will remain in bare metal finish as far as I know. This represents how the AJ 37:s looked during their first years in service at F7.

The Sk 37, if/when it will take to skies again will be in splinter camo.

Just an appetizer for what is coming to the UK..... First display of the 2013 season was performed at Västerås in gloomy weather. http://imageshack.us/a/img843/3377/uka11.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img195/9228/uka44.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img694/2816/uka33.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img850/2214/...

Can these two be personalized somehow so that my friend has access to the FRIAT pages an...

Re: RIAT 2013

Glad RIAT have enquired about the Viggen and Drakken, hopefully something will come of it. The Swedish Air Force has declared (late 2012) that there will be no more flying for the J 32 Lansen and J 35 Draken as military registered aircraft. This means that will have to go through the same process a...
