Yes indeed. Really enjoying it at the moment. One more to go. It's interesting how they're tying all the aspects together during that particular day. It's also nice to give some credit to the unsung heroes and quite emotional at times. Particularly the guy from Biggin Hill who at 7 years old got up c...

Never heard of kingkit but the prices seem very attractive!
Kingkit deal mainly with pre owned models but as you say their prices are good. And so are their delivery times.

F-35 off Lowestoft?

ADSB shows an F-35 having fun off shore at Lowestoft. Is there a carrier out there by chance? Thanks

Re: Virtual Air Tattoo

A bit of extra realism needed . Park the car a mile from your TV get the missus to search your bag on the way in and charge you a fiver for an ice cream. And you could always get the kids to play with their toy fairground set right in front of the TV so you can't see or photograph anything without ...

Really sorry ( it's just the way I feel at the moment) but I won't be watching as I feel it just rubs salt into the wound to what we're all missing this year.....Sorry.

Re: A New Step Into Space

Quite spectacular. I was amazed how smooth the flight was compared to even the Shuttle. And it's fitted with Merlin engines...what more could you want..!
Mind you I do find the names of the landing platforms somewhat humorous....And how precise was the landing back on that. Fascinating!

Will we be able to see it here in the UK as it would have been on Wednesday? The ISS is due over tonight about 10.15.

I think Nimrod is tenuous.

It mentions a mythical figure that a later aeroplane was named after, but not a plane itself, per se.
I know, but I couldn't help myself.....

Aircraft music?

On a somewhat lighter topic, in the Daily Wail today on their Answers to Correspondence page someone is asking, other than Spitfire Prelude what other pieces of music are there that specifically mention the name of a plane? I can think of these, anyone got any more? Spitfire by Public Service Broadc...

Re: What are UKARians watching on TV?

Eye Level is just about spottable in the theme - but listen hard. Make sure you watch 1 then 2 then 3 though. Basically good Sunday night detective series - hope they make series 2. Yes indeed. Really enjoyed all 3 of those. Roll on series 3. I'd like to go and have a meal in the REN Eiland too htt...

HMS Queen Elizabeth at Stokes Bay?

I know its not strictly aviation related but I didn't know where else to go... Anyway, does anyone know why shes moored in Stokes Bay rather than Portsmouth harbour? I watched it arrive on the IOW webcam on Thursday afternoon and shes been there ever since. I was wondering if it was something to do ...

Re: Duxford Shows: 2020

And what's going to happen then? You book your 2m social distance square and remain in it for the duration of the day? Or will the crowd line be divided into a line one deep of 2m boxes and once they have all be 'allocated' no-one else will be allowed in? With the indication of gradual reopening of...

My point exactly, but I honestly didn't think it was as many as that? :dunno: Especially as the current thinking appears to be these restrictions will stay in place for the rest of the year? Why drag it out..? :dunno:

Indeed, and I've even got a couple of tickets just in case working on the theory that, even IF it does happen, nearer the time you'll never get a one anyway...!! (especially a parking permit.) Yes indeed, very disappointed but only to be expected I suppose. I'd also like to pass on my thanks to Phil and the team for all he's done for us. And on a personal note from me to all of you who usually attend, may you all stay safe and well and looking forward to seeing you all later in the year.

Re: Warbird Workshop Yesterday TV

Did you all enjoy it? Great stuff! Particularly enjoyed seeing a good friend of mine doing his Ice Pilots impression... Looking forward to see the aircraft down at Membury sometime... Keep up all the good work... Watched it directly on Yesterday and the picture quality looked perfectly fine to me.....
