Indeed! If I go (and if it actually takes place anyway) my preferred route from here is head by local roads to MK then up to Wellingborough on the A509 and swing a left there.. We shall see? Yes, if it happens Covid permitting, I'd have to take the more time consuming route via the A418 through Ayl...

Oops, not a good idea! Although both venues are 25 miles apart and totally different directions off junction 15a of the M1, it's going to be a nightmare of a journey for those like GeeRam who have to come from the south using the A43..

Re: Flying Legends 2021 - 10th & 11th July at Sywell (Merged)

Good news indeed if it does actually happen? If Duxford do decide to hi-jack the weekend I think the actual line up will be the clincher for me with Duxford getting the extra points simply for its location and tradition. Still, at least it doesn't clash with RIAT (if even that goes ahead) Only time ...

Hi all.

Not wishing to sound like a broken record, but has anyone had a refund yet?

Cheers.
I sent a cursory email a week or so ago and was told I should get mine by Christmas. Which one, she didn't say. I can't beleive its a manual process?

How on earth did a rib manage to hit it, to quote snatch "it's not as though its a packet of f****** peanuts is it?" I imagine a replacement blister is going to be hard to come by? I hope they make the owner of the rib pay for it! But like you say are they easy to come by nowadays? If I remember at...

Thanks Brian. Yes I saw that but just wondering now if it was connected? Got to be a first for a Catalina (and Halton) surely I would think?

Yes, it'll be the Catalina. Seen heading that way on Sunday afternoon, but disappeared from the usual tracking apps near Aylesbury.
Thanks for that. Any idea why?

RAF Halton Flying Boat (filming?)

A friend of mine passed RAF Halton today and said he saw a 'Sutherland' parked in front of one of the hangers for what looked liked some filming? I assume he meant a Sunderland but I still doubt that. Anyone know what he might have seen and why it was there? The Catalina maybe?? Thanks

I'm confused about this group of 6.. I shall explain, I belong to a local model enthusiasts group who used to meet once a month (up to the August meeting) in the local village hall. There are on average 25 of us who all arrive individually. All we do is discuss and look at our latest builds. The com...

I was also fortunate to be given a tour at the weekend and all I can say is it's absolutely fantastic and Phils attention to detail and the quality is second to none! We were there for nearly 2 hours and were captivated by his enthusiasm for the project. It was nice to be able to see where all the N...

Good luck to them and I wish them well, but how? The rule of 6 applies surely? I also see that the Bicester Sunday Scramble is still on on 4th October. I have tickets for this one and was hoping to take the Jeep too??

With major events now being cancelled (the Southampton Boat show for one) and others possibly cancelled because the maximum group size is now 6 and not 30, what difference will it make if the original expected attendance was well into the 1000's above those figures anyway..!

I still don't get what difference it will make if the limit was 30 people in a group and they were going ahead anyway with 13,070 more than that and its now 6. Surely a 24 person reduction among 14,000 is negligable to say the least... Will someone explain or am I missing the obvious?

Just curious, and I must be missing something somewhere, but, how will todays new ruling regarding NMT 6 in a group instead of up to 30 affect Duxfords (IWM) decision to go ahead (or not) when they were going ahead anyway when the ruling was with 30...In the grand scheme of things how is 13,970 peop...
