Re: RIAT 2021 Participation and Discussion Thread

And if VAT 2021 becomes a thing this summer, I'd like to see more footage of air arms in action, and less 'talking' overall. Just my two pence worth. Happy days everyone... Virtual Air Tattoo will be making a return in July. :thumbsup_tone1: I am not being funny but what is the point of that? surel...

Re: Airfix in Notcutts garden centres

That's what I've been saying all along. Everything is so inconsistent! You can understand why smaller independent shops are angry about big supermarkets (and garden centres) selling things that they're not allowed to, simply because they're no allowed to open their doors. Our local ASDA has a massiv...

howard, have you ever thought about putting what you have at the museum at the moment. That way we may see something we thought we didnt need but do now. I will gladly as you know support you all the way.
Yes indeed, no telling what little goodies you have hidden away there...

Re: Airfix in Notcutts garden centres

Great that people can purchase 'essential' kits at the garden centre when the regular models shops have to remain closed to comply with Covid Regulations - not bitter really, just struggling to keep a registered charity going! http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/Museum-Shop Yes I totally agree! ...

Airfix in Notcutts garden centres

Noticed these in our local Notcutts yesterday. Reasonable selection along with Humbrol paints, glues and fillers etc.
I assume they're in the other ones throughout the country too?
Nothing I particularly wanted but stocked up on some Humbrol while I was there.

Yes, and very good it is too..Although I didn't notice any mention of the rescue boat smashing into one of the blisters even tho' you can see it covered over in some shots. Maybe they convieniently left that part out?

Don't panic Andy its not a must have but it is adviseable as it stops bursts of moisture coming out with the paint, particularly on damp days.

Re: Advice on a compressor for an airbrush

I've used a Badger TC910 for some years now but which I believe is now discontinued but I see Fengda now produce an identical model (AS186) so whether they bought the rights from Badger I'm not sure. Anyway, I've had no problems with mine and the output is reliable. Theres a little noise while the m...

Re: advice on paints for an airbrush

Lucky you. Bottom line is pretty much any paints can be used in an-airbrush providing they’re thinned correctly with regard to consistencies/type of paint and the airbrush is cleaned out afterwards.
What make is the new airbrush.?

Shame about the steep postage. I think that's the sheer size and weight of it. Strange tho' that if you order 2 (as a friend and I did) that you pay postage twice too! Cheeky!! Vaccine and rapid testing should be enough to fix things for next summer Not likely. Fix things in time for next winter more likely, not for many summer 2021 events, as many event organisers would have had to commit already by now to upfront costs and planning, and they will not be risking that in ...

Indeed! If I go (and if it actually takes place anyway) my preferred route from here is head by local roads to MK then up to Wellingborough on the A509 and swing a left there.. We shall see? Yes, if it happens Covid permitting, I'd have to take the more time consuming route via the A418 through Ayl...

Oops, not a good idea! Although both venues are 25 miles apart and totally different directions off junction 15a of the M1, it's going to be a nightmare of a journey for those like GeeRam who have to come from the south using the A43..

Good news indeed if it does actually happen? If Duxford do decide to hi-jack the weekend I think the actual line up will be the clincher for me with Duxford getting the extra points simply for its location and tradition. Still, at least it doesn't clash with RIAT (if even that goes ahead) Only time ...

Hi all.

Not wishing to sound like a broken record, but has anyone had a refund yet?

Cheers.
I sent a cursory email a week or so ago and was told I should get mine by Christmas. Which one, she didn't say. I can't beleive its a manual process?
