Re: Challenge coins at the show
plenty of pamphlets. Slightly off topic; however, what is the difference between a pamphlet, and a leaflet? Pamphlets and leaflets are two common types of print publications used in advertising. The core difference between a leaflet and a pamphlet is based on size. A pamphlet typically has five or ...

Only one flying award was given out - the Hartree Memorial Award, and that was to the Czech ALCA display.

Re: RAF Scampton 2017 volunteers
I contacted them last year but have only this week had a response from them. They are still in early planning stages so don't be disheartened if you've not heard anything yet.

Re: Please help
Before I went to air shows I went to a bridge overlooking a motorway and practised my panning shots for an hour or so. I was able to learn what worked and what didn't. Might be worth a try.

Re: Please help
I started out with a Canon 400d which I didn't have any of the problems you described with. Your's is newer so I can't see it being a limitation of the camera, more likely to be a settings issue, hardware fault or user error. Do you get this issue if you put it in auto mode? What mode are you shooti...

Re: RIAT volunteers
I am on the RIAT medical team and will be there again this year. The team you are on will determine how much you get to see. Those in the medical centre will see pretty much nothing whereas those on the showground will see far more. Last year I was able to see a lot of the arrivals and had the benef...

Canon 300mm f/4 L lens
I'm selling my 300mm f/4 as I am predominantly using my 100-400 these days. It has a couple of minor scuffs but the main point of note is that the hood is cracked. It is 100% functional and screws into place as it should. I bought it from MPB last year for £700 and they are selling a 300mm f/4 with ...

XH558 leaves for Throckmorton
I managed to nip over to Doncaster Airport today and catch XH558 on her way to Throckmorton airshow. I was about a minute late arriving and my initial takeoff shots were all at way too high an ISO which was a shame. 1. https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8890/18533977681_eb9674c04d_c.jpg XH558 by Luke , o...

Totterdown pitch available
I had booked a pitch at Totterdown arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday. I'm now working the show so will be staying in the staff camping area so this is now spare. Rather than just cancel, I'd prefer to find Simon a replacement camper. If anyone is interested, please let me know and we can swap the...
