Re: Eastbourne 2023

yep, the commentator also reported a tech smoke problem, but maybe it was just misunderstanding, the visibility looked poor, so poor in fact when they did go out to sea to hold, no-one could see where theyd gone.

Typhoon coped alright, but its not doing formation flying

Just to show how deluded the followers of the Ted Coningsby channel seem to be, this gem is from one of the Mods written in the chat on an upcoming live stream! RIAT A written apology to Nikos and Claire. Free Passes for next year's Fairford Airshow, to Nikos and Claire. As an apology. A £1,000 don...

Re: Duxford Summer Air Show 2023 - 24th & 25th June

I have been attending Duxford for over 20 years now - some as a volunteer so I know a bit about the place - and it never fails to amuse me that they still can`t get some things right. We arrived on the Saturday early -about 0645am - to see no car park signs so we drove past the main gate where we s...

We are seeking to honour all existing bookings. https://theblades.com/blades-january-2023/ I don't know how many of these there may be, nor if they will be at public events or private bookings, but there may be a chance to see them one last time for some. Re: Red Arrows Statement

It's been something of an Annus Horribulus for the team. Aircrew scandals, ageing jets, birdstrikes, fewer jets displaying, and an underwhelming, stale display. If the Reds to are to have a future, they need to take a good look at themselves and reset in all aspects for 2023. Well you and I have ve...

Re: Red Arrows Statement

TBH with the deep-seated issues in RAF Flying Training which means that, in spite of CAS being given it as his top priority by the Defence Secretary 3 years ago, there are still insufficient Fast Jet pilots to fully man the F-35 force, it becomes harder and harder to justify tying up 10 experienced...

I would start by moderating what you already have. Then build from there. You want to be welcoming of new people? Well there's one thread in Aviation Waffle' that to be fair, after two pages, should be deleted. Or at the very least, trimmed. but its stuff like that puts me off contributing to a for...

Re: Red Arrows - Seven aircraft display 2022

they actually fly a display at the British GP, its not just a flypast, its not the full 20mins display obviously, but for some crazy reason the tv directors never want to show any of it and would rather have commentators shouting into microphones over jets asking inane questions of perplexed vip cel...

he did an 8hr live stream seemingly without a single comfort break, Id like to see some of the people criticising him, give that kind of thing a go and still sound as enthusiastic for what you are doing at the end of a day as you were at the beginning, when youve been standing out in a gale and gett...

I would be interested to hear from the jury as to what they do consider manslaughter . The charge was manslaughter by gross negligence . So to find him guilty the jury would have to be satisfied beyond all reasonable doubt that he was not only negligent but grossly negligent. That was always going ...

admittedly maybe not so much of an issue this past year, but Im just wondering if the issue is often down to the weather constraints they have to deal with in the UK so often, the difference between a full display and one impacted by cloud limits or rain is very stark. I mean I hadnt realised I hadn...

1) seeing the SR71 fly numerous times, and never managing to take a single photo of it in the air, taking off, or landing. 2) spending what felt like days sometimes being dragged as a kid during school holidays, to sit by a fence at Mildenhall, Lakenheath, Wattisham, Woodbridge, Bentwaters and not r...
