Yes, the restoration area is my aim, it was closed off when I went a couple of years ago, but is more accessible now I understand. Best wishes for the back!
It's open on the hour every hour with a tour guide. I missed the 14.00 because of the back and the guide was late, so I gave up

Re: Airspace Bristol 10/2/24

I didn't see either of those. They might have been in the restoration area which I didn't visit. This visit became a very quick one which wasn't intended. I have arthritis in my back which means that I cannot stand still for long before I get a really nasty back ache. I was second in the queue to ge...

Ok so what was wrong with them? The RAF website offers no clues https://www.raf.mod.uk/aircraft/juno-ht1/#:~:text=The%20Airbus%20Helicopters%20H135%20Juno,training%20school%20in%20the%20world. To save anyone from disappointment, access to this event has been discussed on Facebook and the organisers have stated that enthusiasts will be restricted to the car park.

Re: Duxford Diary 2024

Hi, I'm looking for some advice. I'll be visiting IWM for the first time on Feb 29th with 4 of my fellow spotter friends and I'm wondering if there is a possibility to photograph any activities on the airfield/runway when visiting the Museums? Thanks! Tom Yes, but you need a long lens 400mm minimum.

Re: Disappearing Twin-Engine Types

Pembroke G-BNPH/WV740 has gone quiet in the last few years too. I can't find any mention of it flying after 2018 sadly. I've always been very fond of the Pembroke/Prince series and it is a pity that non are flying nowadays. But, and it's a pretty big but, when they did appear at shows in the 80s, o...

Re: Sywell Airshow 2024

Miss Helen is built up from an anonymous fuselage out of Israel which had all traces of its identity removed by the Israelis. It needed an identity to be registered with the CAA, so the owner picked 472216 from a list of aircraft which went to Israel which was provided to the former owner by a late...

Re: Aero Legends The Golden Age of Aviation Airshow (Compton Abbas)

Mmn ... Compton Abbas has problems with road visitors during its advertised fly-ins during the summer, I really can't imagine how it's going to cope with the number of road visitors during an air display. The road from Shaftesbury to the airfield (B3081) is very narrow and the triangle of lanes off ...

Although the attractions are good, the truth is that most of them have been seen many times by most of us, and me, so per...

I have sympathy with an earlier contributor who remarked that his favourite...
