R,I,P, Dave Prowse, Darth Vader and the Green Cross Code Man.

Does that mean he was Anakin Skywalker then? Also keep forgetting that while he played the part of Darth Vader, the Actor James Earl Jones provided the iconic voice.

Like you Wrexham Mackem IAT ‘91 was the one and only time I saw an EA-3B Skywarrior and like you I luckily got a photo of it, shame we had to return home to Scotland on Sunday so never saw the departure (or the arrival for that matter), but so just see it was good enough. Lovely aircraft.

Am I right in thinking that the visit to IAT 1993 by the New Zealand Air Force MB.339 was the only time a New Zealand Air Force MB.339 came to Great Britain - England?

Airfix question...

Am I right in thinking that seeing as there is no Scale Model World Exhibition unfortunately due to Coronavirus this year that any big Airfix Announcements which are usually made at the Show will be made online?

With regards the Il-76 the Russian example was in 1991 a year earlier, but I do remember a few Years later which I can't remember exactly without consulting my spotters logbook there was a Ukrainian Il-76 on Static, shame they never brought any Su-27 Flankers with them!

Re: Mildenhall Air Fete 1997

There are really only two Aircraft I ever regret never having seen flying, The SR-71 Blackbird and the English Electric Lightning. Also do I remember rightly correct me if I'm wrong but did the Thunderbirds not try unsuccessfully to perform a flypast after they departed for Home on the Sunday? Only ...

Re: Mildenhall Air Fete 1997

I have to say that I never saw the SR-71 Blackbird at Mildenhall but seeing the F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter and B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber more than made up for not seeing the Blackbird. Although I have seen the SR-71 at Duxford.
