Re: Ayr International Airshow 2024

It'll be interesting to see what the Organisers do to make up for the Red Arrows not being there This Year? 9 Ship of Lossie Typhoons maybe?

Re: Duxford Diary 2023

How about once the 2 Seat Typhoon departs for Newark, Duxford should ask about Blackjack to replace it? If it's out of hours, that Colour Scheme should be preserved(somewhere)?!...........

I know it'll never happen but it's worth a suggestion........

Re: Life at Lossiemouth in 2023...So Far (January - July) *PHOTO HEAVY*

Was in the area around the time of Lossie Fest the Families Day and just so happened to be staying nearby and got a great view from a nearby vantage point, sadly wasn't able to get on base but got a great view of The Red Arrows and the Typhoon/ Poseidon Formation - sorry but still not convinced by t...

Re: Your Favourite UK Airshow Venue

It's either Ayr Low Green, (but would be great to have a static at Prestwick), or Duxford, was at BoB last year. Was somewhere near Lossie for Lossie Fest but sadly not on base, not that lucky.......

Oh how I miss Leuchars, Mildenhall, Waddington.............

Oh if only, that would have been a dream come true! Used to spend Summer Holidays in Puerto Pollensa across the bay when I was at School and have great memories of the Canadair Amphibians training and heading out great to see. Hope it went well?

Re: Ayr international airshow - September 2023

My only disappointment of the Weekend last was the non appearance of the Canadian Hercules which was mentioned in the Programme (twice!) mind you it makes you realise the state of the World nowadays and it was obviously Operational Commitments as per usual which prevented it's appearance...........?

Re: RIAT 2023 Discuss everything thread

I've seen two or three instances of Crowdline pushing and they were before You Tube even came on the scene, once at Waddington when I got to the crowdline to get a shot of a Canberra I seem to remember wben just as I put the viewfinder up to my eye this "person" barged right in front of me...

Re: RIAT 2023 Discuss everything thread

I would have thought that Nicos and Ted Coningsby as well as anyone else in the same position would have contacted the RIAT Organisers to check it would be ok to live stream at the event. They no doubt will do so in future.

Re: Security

Here's a great idea to tackle the low life, get the Reds or any other Display Team to turn their smoke on full when they take off if the protestors are at the end of the runway then they'll really know what it's like to be covered.
