Re: Presidential Election 2020

Oh we're only allowed to criticize a President when it's Trump then? That really would be #pathetic Biden’s speech is absolutely excellent. Light years ahead of any syllable Trump has ever uttered or will ever utter. A triumph of hope, decency, love, kindness, and respect. You love to see it. Was t...

Yes, the nightmare that was the Trump presidency is finally over.

Feels a bit like this speech.

Re: Presidential Election 2020

It's ironic that this famous republic gives powers to its chief last seen in monarchies.

You have to feel for those justice officials that spend years on cases, trying to do the right thing, only to see their president filling the swamp.

That certainly brightened up a dull Tuesday. Thanks for posting. That Lightning take-off!

What a great line-up and as always when seeing an airshow of those days, the amount of RAF types displaying is notable. It was nothing remarkable back then of course.

I suggest, verreli, you nip off down to a fishing port and repeat this, on a fishing crate. See how you get on! The fishing industry will do just fine. Quotas have increased for UK boats. UK govt have committed to invest. Peoples tastes don't change. Don't believe everything you read/hear in the me...

Very, very difficult to pick a winner. Everyone says it but it’s true. Have had to impose a ridiculously stringent set of rules. Any orange-painted or orange-looking I’ve had to leave out. Horrible to see them like that. Especially XV571 which had some nice special schemes. Pity that the serials, roundels and squadron markings couldn't have been cut out for museums, or disposal, even financially to enthusiasts. Am sure the control columns, throttles, etc were kept back.

The number of orange aircraft appearing in this thread is quite amusing...
Strict colour chart comparisons will be done. (Otherwise we'll use up two colours of potential future themes, as we might be getting desperate!)

48 Hour Photo Comp - Red

Inspired by the colour of the seats in my previous entry, what about the colour red. In these grey days I thought it'd be good to have a bit of colour on show. In any guise, whether it's colour scheme, close-up detail, sunset/sunrise colour of the sky, flying suits, nose art, tail art, whatever you ...

As they say in Scotland, jings, crivens and help ma bob! Did not see that coming. So many great in action shots on show and evocative cockpits that you can smell the oil and leather.

Have come up with an idea for the next comp and will post very shortly.

Former chief of the FBI James Comey last night on Newsnight was very good. He said they shouldn't prosecute Trump as it keeps him in the spotlight, it's better to leave him alone standing on the lawn at Mar a Lago shouting at cars in his bathrobe.
