Wet and gloomy Airpower 2019 - Zeltweg, Austria

Hello, despite the bad weather forecast I could not resist driving to Zeltweg for the 2019 edition of the Airpower airshow. A decision not to regret as most acts were able to fly on the Friday and the organization of the event was perfect as usual. Hornet, Su-22 and the Typhoon pair in the rain on S...

I think you did a great job under these difficult conditions. Final shot is my favourite. It was an impressive show despite the dull weather. Thanks for posting!

+ Italian F-35 Static They had to go and spoil it!.... Why should they hold the Information back? A static fighter in a presumably cluttered position that will be seen many times at future airshows in Europe is not the highlight of the show, nothing spoilt there...for me at least. Nice to see they ...

Re: Lets get loud - Swiss delight at Zigermeet 2019

Hey guys thanks for your kind words. Right, struggling probably was not the right expression ... not a native speaker so that’s my excuse. what I meant was that I had a hard time dealing with a „big“ lens again after absence to airshows in the recent past resulting in a rather low keeper rate. Yep t...

Lets get loud - Swiss delight at Zigermeet 2019

Hey everyone, my first time at this venue but hopefully not the last. The steep mountain face in front of the crowdline dominates the little airfield and really enhances the flying displays which were simply fantastic. The plans of the Swiss AF to replace the Tigers helped to attract most contenders...

Re: Radom Air Show 2018 (100th Anniversary of Polish Air For

But its incomparable when you don't have the static line up and a show that faces into the sun all day. Great show still. You could always go outside the showground where the sun is behind your back and the flying is much closer. The show's official website even has a link to an article about best ...

What a show! Fast jet heaven in the sky and a static filled with heavies, awesome! The weather obviously played ball perfectly, but resulting in hard shooting conditions with the heat haze at times - will definitely not complain about blue skies though. Getting in and out was almost flawless on the ...

I did get a knot in my stomach though when the SU-27 was coming in slowly over the hangars but thankfully everything worked out ok but it looked far too close and certainly not something they will repeat. Thought the same it did look very low but I can’t really judge as I was far away, left of show...

Hey everyone, Only usual suspects in the shots from this airshow except the wonderful Mirage III maybe which is a rare sight, for me at least. Still had enough reasons to drive to Sion like seeing my all-time favorite display team racing their MB339s through the valley before they get replaced. I mu...
